DRESS CODE
At The Dance Center, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and comfortable classroom environment, ensuring that all students feel confident and supported as they dance. To accommodate diverse needs, we offer two dress code options:
Option 1: Leotard (pink for Preschool and Kinderdance; black for all other classes), with an optional skirt for ballet. Pink or tan tights are recommended, and form-fitted shorts may be worn over the leotard. For tap and hip-hop classes, students may wear black shorts or pants. Younger dancers may opt to wear socks instead of tights.
Option 2: Black form-fitted t-shirt or tank top, paired with black athletic attire such as leggings or joggers.
Regardless of the chosen option, it is essential that clothing allows instructors to clearly observe each dancer’s form to minimize the risk of injury. Our objective is to provide an environment where every dancer can express themselves authentically and focus on their personal growth and enjoyment of movement.
All students must have their hair pulled back securely, off the neck, and away from their face. Hair should ideally be styled in a bun, but those with short hair should ensure it is pulled or pinned back effectively.
Only low-profile jewelry is allowed (i.e. stud earrings)
